A little about this blog
The name of this blog is Noctuaries. The word "Noctuary" means - "The record of a night's events, thoughts or dreams". And true to to it's name this blog is a record of thoughts that flood my mind in the later hours of the night.
This blog is about everything and anything that I observe in my daily life. My mind tends to wander to a trillion different places & my curiosity is insatiable. This blog is a little sneak peak into some of the thoughts & observations that I have made & will be making in the journey of life.
The blog mainly has three sections :
- Articles
- Poetry
- Art Gallery
There are three main types of Articles on this blog :
- Articles on personal development
Here I share my tips and research on matters that can help improve the quality of one's life. It will contain discussions and topics closely related to human psychology
- Interpretation of art
These will be technical articles that review paintings, books, film and any other work of art.
- Random Musings
As the name suggests these will be random musings of my mind
There are two main types of Poetry on this blog :
- Critical Poetry
This is poetry meant to show the darker aspects of life and critical observations about human psychology. It explores darker thoughts of the human mind.
- Positive Poetry
This is poetry meant to spread positivity and highlight the beauty of life or nature. It explores beautiful emotions and thoughts.
A little about me
My name is Arathi Nayak. I am a writer, poet, artist, & traveler. I primarily do pencil sketches and acrylic paintings. I love animals and am a proud parent to 5 pets - Two cats and three dogs. I was born in the city of Mangalore, in Karnataka, India.
I love reading books. My favorite authors are Ruskin Bond, Sidney Sheldon, R. L. Stine, J. K. Rowling. I love murder mysteries, psychological thrillers and horror stories. I love cinema and theatre.
There is much I want to do in life and this blog is an attempt to encourage my passion for writing. I hope the readers of this blog like the content I have written and find it impactful. Please encourage me further my engaging actively on my posts and providing critical feedback
