The Portrait Of The Sheep
I saw dreamy spirals in their eyes
Their faces so confident and sure
Watching the smiling wolves advertise
Accepting fiction as true & pure
The labour of thought outsourced
The labour of rationality ignored
The labour of logic greatly bored
Treasure of sweet lies happily stored
Sapiens believe what they want to
Sapiens see what they want to see
The sky is spicy if they don’t like blue
Fact becomes what they perceive it to be
Judgements marred heavily by emotion
Masked by overestimated intelligence
Such is the picture of the sheep’s devotion
Marionette strings bought with diligence
