Poetry : Rules

Rules

The girl decided that she would drink blue tea

And have some strawberry sorbet for breakfast

She'd wear a dress and dance on her lilac bed

Buy a dozen Dahlias, Peonies and Hyacinths

She'd die her long luscious hair pastel green

And drink Irish coffee from a whiskey glass

She'd do whatever her childish heart desires

On the day when she'd say goodbye to the rules
