Traveler

The warm yellow light played with the cold moonlight
Painting the lone traveler's face with a mesmerizing golden glow
She sat in the quiet cozy café wearing a magical smile
A smile that made her eyes small and her cheeks full

Radiant from head-to-toe in a long flowy velvet dress
She enjoyed her last evening in the distant dreamy land
Wining and dining under unfamiliar skies with unfamiliar folk
The wanderer began to reflect on her journey untold

An escape too short yet drowning with stories and adventure
It had left her feeling that the mighty Universe truly listened
As the clock chimed 9, a frown stole away her pretty smile
It was time, time to tell the magical mesmerizing city goodbye
